8 March 2022.- The managing director of Mariscos Castellar, Francisco García Calero, received the Degusta Jaén Award in the company category, now in its eighth edition, from the president of the Provincial Council of Jaén, Francisco Reyes.

With this award, the supramunicipal corporation recognises the work that companies adhering to this seal of quality have been doing throughout 2021 to promote products from Jaén and achieve the highest quality products and services.

The president of the Provincial Council, accompanied by the deputy for Agriculture, Livestock, Environment and Climate Change, Pedro Bruno, and the mayor of Castellar, Pedro García, praised Mariscos Castellar for ‘being at the forefront of business and having known how to adapt and take advantage of a fresh, artisanally prepared product to industrialised production that maintains its quality intact’.

Reyes also highlighted the more than 50 years of history of a company ‘that is undoubtedly one of the largest seafood cookers we have in our country and a benchmark in the distribution of frozen foods’.

For his part, the managing director of Mariscos Castellar, Francisco García Calero, dedicated the award in a very emotional and grateful manner to his father, Pepe García Muñoz, founder and driving force behind the company.
